AG in the Classroom

This morning, Sigma Alpha, Philanthropy Sorority at Auburn University came to do special activities with our Kindergarten Classes.  They had several rotations to help the children learn about agriculture in our area!

At our first rotation, we learned about pigs.  We learned how large pigs can grow, how many babies they have and all about their food.  We never knew that pigs were such interesting animals!

Next, we learned all about dairy cows.  We even got a chance to see what it is like to milk a cow.

We also got to make butter!

We learned about sheep and planted soybeans.

Thanks Auburn University.  We learned a lot about agriculture and had a great time!

CWES Honors our Veterans!

Thursday morning, CWES held a special program to honor our Veterans.  The children did a great job singing and were so respectful throughout the entire program!  I can't think of a better way for our CWES Explorers to say, "Thank you!" to our Veterans.

November's Explorer of the Month

Congratulations Gabriel!  During our class meeting, Gabriel was chosen as our next Explorer of the Month.  Although several friends were brought up in the discussion, the children unanimously voted for him.  According to his peers, they said that Gabriel was always a good friend, has great ideas, was safe and took care of the things in our classroom.    Congratulations Gabriel!  We are so proud of you!
