Cheering On Our Second Grade Friends
We have had a great time surprising our second grade friends in Mrs. Vickers' Class this week. We wanted to wish them well on the OLSAT test that they took. We made a video for them, hung a sign in their classroom, and put treats on their desks each morning. It's never too early to learn how to do random acts of kindness!

A Visit From Samuel
Something super exciting happened this morning...we got to Skype with Samuel! This was the first time that we had gotten to visit with him since he moved to Africa. Samuel told us all about living in Africa. He showed us his new home and where he goes to school. We were amazed that his school didn't have any walls and that it was right outside of his house. Samuel told us that even though it was morning for us, that he had already eaten dinner and was about to go to bed. It was so awesome to talk to Samuel.
I hope that we will be able to Skype with him again on Thursday before he goes to language school to learn Swahili.

Saying Good-Bye to Samuel
We had to say good-bye to Samuel today. He and his family are moving to Africa for the next couple of years. He came to eat lunch one last time before they leave. After lunch, everyone had to give him a good-bye hug!
We can't wait for our first visit from Samuel over Skype! The next time we see him, Samuel will be on the Smart Board!
