We had so much fun at the 1st nine week's behavior celebration! We spent the morning outside playing and enjoying the wonderful weather. It was a great way to celebrate the Explorers in our class!

October's Explorer of the Month
Congratulations to Demian! He is our Explorer of the Month for October. At our class meeting, everyone decided that Demian should be our next CWES Explorer of the Month. He is good friend, makes good choices, acts safely and follows the rules! Demian's picture will be on display by the library for the whole school to see.

Just a Little M & M Graphing
After a week of reading Mouse Paint and other color books during Shared Reading, we did a little bit of M & M Graphing. Everyone was super excited about this math journal activity! We started with a a handful of M & M's. The first job was to sort the M & M's into colors and build our graph.
After sorting all of the M & M's we had to record each color on our graph.
After recording our data, it was time to decide which color we had the most and least of. Finally, it was time to EAT!
October's 100 Book Club
Look who's reached the 25 book benchmark! Carter and Michael earned their bookmarks. They are the first friends in our class to reach this benchmark. We were so excited for them! Way to go guys! Check back to see who will be next.

Special Guest Reader
This morning, Officer Schallock came to read to all of the Kindergarten classes. When he sat down in one of our kinder-sized chairs, we knew it was going to be fun having him around!
