In Mrs. May's room, we strung necklaces with 100 Fruit Loops.
In Mrs. Shope's room, we made a glyph that showed what we would look like when we were 100 years old.
We illustrated a special poem for our Poetry Notebooks in Ms. Holloway's room.
In our classroom, we made a special snack that had 100 things to eat!

Election Day!
Today we participated in our own mock elections. Just like many of you, we went to the polls and cast our vote for our favorite presidential candidate. It was very exciting!
After showing our lunch tickets for identification, we got our ballots.
We waited in line to vote.

Happy Halloween!
Why celebrate Halloween on only one day when you can celebrate all week long? In our class we started the celebration by reading some of our favorite chants and stories. We even put Halloween books in the Listening Center and Big Book Center. The real fun came on Halloween day when we did rotations throughout Orange Pod. There was a different activity in each classroom for the children to do. They made scarecrow glyphs, sorted and graphed fall candies, listened to great stories, drew pumpkin pictures, made spider cookies and played candy corn bingo! Everyone had a great time!
