We learned how to play a new math game this week! BATTLE is a new class favorite. This game is great for practicing number recognition and greater than/less than, but to all of us, it is just right for having fun!

The Sprinkle... Part 1
Our class voted to change the Home Living Center into an ice cream shop. We are all very excited about this change. The children have worked hard and last week, The Sprinkle was open for business!
The girls decided that we needed big cylinder shaped cans to hold the ice cream. They wrote an e-mail to Mrs. Wendy and asked her to save us some cans.
Amori, Demi and Haley made the menu signs to hang in our shop.
Before we could open, the children had some work to do.

After the class voted on a name for our shop, Ella finished the sign.
Butcher paper was used to make the ice cream. Beads and pom-poms were used to make the toppings.

Tiger
We had a very special guest for Shared Journals today. Mrs. Cooper brought her ball python, Tiger and shared her with our class. We were shocked, excited and a bit scared!
After telling us all about Tiger, Mrs. Cooper answered about a hundred questions. By the time she was finished, we were feeling a bit braver. Some of us even wanted to touch Tiger!
Even Miss Samples was brave enough to hold Tiger!
