Celebrating Dr. Seuss with Oobleck!

We celebrated Read Across America by reading lots of books by Dr. Seuss!  Bartholomew and the Oobleck was one of our favorites and after making Oobleck, we loved it even more!

In the book, the Oobleck was sticky, gooey and dangerous.  Before we began, we made predictions about the properties of our Oobleck.

Then the fun really began!  We loved exploring Oobleck!

We tested our Oobleck to see if we could make it into a ball and discovered that it melted as soon as you stopped pushing on it!

We tried to punch it and found that our Oobleck felt hard!

We dropped blocks in the Oobleck to see if they would sink or float.  They sank!

With everything that we learned while exploring Oobleck, we tried to answer the question, "Can you walk on Oobleck?"
